I was looking into getting the Samsung 830 SSD for my laptop, but cannot find out if I will need a spacer to fit the 7mm Samsung SSD into the 9.5mm HDD bay of the dv6t or not.

Is the hard drive held in with screws or a flexible caddy? Anyone who can clarify the need for a spacer would be a huge help. I don't want to buy the SSD laptop kit if I don't have to and making my own spacer out of cardboard or something isn't very appealing to me.

    Thanks in advanced!

The holes that you screw the ssd to the caddy with will line up regardless, you wont need a spacer.
