I just got a dv6z-6c00, I'm mostly happy with it.

One thing that's bothering me though is that the GPU scaling is sorta messed up. My dv6 has an AMD 7690m with a 1080p LCD, and when gaming I want to lower the resolution a bit to get a little better performance but I DON'T want it scaled to fit the screen; I want it centered with the black bars around it.

I can change the Windows desktop resolution just fine and it will be centered with black borders with anything lower then 1920x1080. But games always seem to stretch to fit. I've tried with Oblivion and Crysis so far and they both do this.

Anyone have any workarounds or solutions?
