I know I've seen it here before, but I can't find it again. How do you make the volume slider
    A. shut the heck up (no more clicking when adjusting the volume) and
    B. I've heard you can get rid of the on screen visual adjustment of it, how would one do that?

Oh, I've also heard from two people that you can set areas of the touch pad to do things like right and left click (as a silent alternative to the buttons). Anyhow know how to do that?

Remove HP Quicktouch completely. It does the on screen display part. And try upgrading to the latest quicktouch drivers.

Alright, found the touchpad thing, pretty cool. Where can I find the QuickTouch drivers?

You can remove QuickTouch in the Programs and Features control panel applet. :)
