Ok, I have a customer with a DV7-1247cl. The display is flickering and has scratch lines going horizontal across the screen. And at times, a vertical line parts the screen down the middle. Does anyone know if this is a blown converter or does the entire screen need replacing??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys.

The inverter only drives the CCFL backlight, it wouldn't cause those scratch lines. If you're lucky the internal monitor cable just needs reseating or replacing. Failing that, I think he needs a new panel.
