The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is anyone else having trouble with their Wifi Link 1000 and kernels 2.6.39 and newer?
    I have had no problems with 2.6.38 but I upgraded to 2.6.39 and 3.0 and neither worked with the wireless adapter.

    I've been in contact with the developers of iwlagn and they have not heard other reports of the problem.

    There were major changes to iwlagn between 2.6.38 and 2.6.39 but I'm surprised I'm the only person affected by it.

    I'm using 2.6.39 , everything works fine.
