I have tried looking though the DV7 manual from HP and I think it is incorrectly showing only four motherboards. I have a DV7-6b77DX with I7 2670 and no discrete graphics (only Intel HD). The four boards listed all seem to have a discrete graphics card installed.

My only thought is that perhaps I have the same board and the GPU slot is just empty? That would be wasteful but wouldn't surprise me

    Thanks

MB part number should be on a sticker, usually under the SODIMMs.
    "Replace with HP Spare 123456-001"

Well shoot. Good call and I found out my MB part number is not even listed in the official manual. It is 665993-001 and I downloaded the manual from the support page specific to my machines model number dv7-6b77dx

edit: Interesting, I found another manual that shows this part number http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03043778.pdf
