    i've heard that the DV7T's screen is a bit dim. how dim is it when you're @ max brightness? i'm still waiting for my DV7T to get shipped, so i just wanna know

    well... it depends on where you're planning to use your notebook... I have the 1440x900 infinity display and have it set at 60% brightness for indoors... very comfortable to work with... if you're going to be using it outdoors, the glare may overpower your screen at even 100% brightness...

    kind of hard to quantify "how dim it is" without the use of equipment to measure the light output ;)

    a few situations:

    12 hr drive to michigan from philly, so in a car with windows tint during day and night time

    indoors, most of the time anyway

    @ the park during daytime, perhaps under the shade of a tree

    I've taken the notebook outside during the day and the glare is a little overwhelming, especially if it's sunny... the reflections off the screen are very visible...

    ok. do you think you could post a pic of your screen, with the brightness turned all the way up?
