I got my new DV7T on friday, it's dead by sunday . I was just rebooting and it froze at the hp logo. Turn off then on again; nada. Can't even get into the bios menu. Ugh, this really pisses me off. I only ordered the dv7 to replace my 9700t that had the video card crap out 2 weeks earlier. I'm rapidly losing any faith in any hp product . I've got my repair ticket #. How long has everyones repairs/replacements taken to get back to them?

Support usually takes a few days to one week to fix your comp, the rest depends on the mail service and the internal admin work.

Use tracking mail service and call them often to follow up.

    cheers ...

Heh ive lost faith in HP for laptops in general. Desktops from most companies are okay as their more off the shelf and easier to fix if something does go wrong. But i decided to not make a mistake, some people will hopefully have good luck with theirs but this forum section alone has enough to scare me a long time hp/compaq customer off.

Sorry this happened to you. I've had my DV7T since October, and have not had this kinda issue. It sounds like your BIOS was screwed up to begin with. I understand your frustration, but it's possible you got a lemon. I hope you don't have any other issues when you get it back...

I hope there aren't anymore issues either :p. I was humming along too. Then I reboot and #@%@$#!. I like the look and function of hp's laptops. I hope their hardware steps it up

For only having it two days I'd demand a new one or just send the defective one back for a refund.
