Hey guys, my brand new DV7TQE laptop just came in 2 days ago. My last laptop was a piece of crap and couldn't do much of anything so im a bit new to the power this computer offers. I was wondering if anyone with the same laptop as me can help me out with OverClocking/Underclocking?

If you don't have time for a newb like me, don't worry about it, its all good. The one thing I ask is that atleast a couple of you put up your Furmark Benchmarks over here at 1080p, I got that fancy screen :)

Thanks a ton for reading, I'm a bit new so sorry if posting this wasn't a good idea :S

if it's not amd, it can't be overclocked, unless there is some special bios that allows you to change the bus speed.
    I haven't seen one.

dv7tqe is plenty fast at stock.

He is probably talking about the GPU-- MSI afterburner will get you where you need to go.

The GPU is what I am talking about... the CPUs never top out, ever lol.

But anyway, I tried MSI afterburner and all the settings were locked, this was like 6 months ago though so I will give it another shot...

Anyone know of any other kind or software like MSI?

For benchmarking use 3d mark vantage 2011, most people use it, furmark is mostly used for checking the highest temperatures of the GPU (Burn-in test).
3d mark vantage scores below (tested driver's version in brackets), unfortunately, it's 6770m and not 7690 which, I guess you have:
    [8.95.5] TurboON_P7284_GPU(6037)_CPU(19143)
    [leshcat12.4]_P7182_(GPU 5953)
    [leshcat12.2] P7223_GPU(5984)_CPU(19042)
    [HPstock] P7198(GPU 5964) CPU(18984)
    [leshcat] P7185(GPU 5959) cpu(18755)
