Need a little help... (I have been a forum member here for many years).

Anyway, I have 911 going on.

I have some DV7T-3100 With Intel i720's I support, and needed to pick up a "compatible" replacement in a hurry.

After a really quick "el-searcho of the specs", I took a quick shot in the dark and grabbed up a "new in a sealed box" machine advertised with a description that follows (below).

    From the description, I think it's a DV7T-4100 (Select Edition) WX444AV.

Now, my problem is I gotta do some very fast parts shopping to upgrade the unit to our specs, and have it ready to go, yet I cannot find a service manual (grrr)...

    My biggest questions/concerns are:

    (a) Think my assumption sounds correct about the model?

    (b) Will the power bricks/AdapterPlug/MickyMousePowercord be compatible with the power bricks we use with the DV7-3100T's?

    (c) Are the Optical Drives the same style, cause I gotta order a Bluray writer.

    (d) I am guessing that the "6GB RAM" will come in the form of two SODIMMS? A 1x4GB and a 1x2GB ?

    (e) And finally (drumroll), are the batteries gonna be compatible?

    Here is the advertised description:

DV7T Select Edition 17.3-inch Silver case
    intel i7-740QM Quad core
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-740QM Quad Core processor
    17.3" Infinity BrightView (1600 x 900)
Beats(TM) audio + HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer
    6GB DDR3 SDRAM
    640GB (2 x 320GB) 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive ProtectSmart
SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
1GB ATI 5650 Mobility Radeon(TM) HD switchable graphics [HDMI, VGA]
Built-in HP TrueVision Webcam and microphone
    Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N (BGN) card + Bluetooth
    Integrated Fingerprint Reader
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit)
4 USB (4th shared with eSATA port), HDMI
    10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN RJ-45

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe
