    DV8 not booting past HP screen

    I was having freezeups that I thought might be because of the harddrive. I replaced the hitachi drive with a western digital and now the computer wil not boot past the HP screen. I get indication that it is started into the bios and other boot setup apps but it just sits there.

    Any ideas?

    Does it have an AMD or Intel processor?
