    Hi all,

A week ago I got a new DV8-1090ev and am looking to get an SSD replacement for the primary drive. To have a look at the drive connectors, I've unscrewed the block at the bottom and somehow the connectors seemed a bit odd and the power connector seemed a bit larger than normal.

Can I go and buy an off the shelf SATA II SSD and hook into this machine? Has anyone done this before? Would it fit without issues?

    Thanks in advance...
