    Hi,
I have a HP pavellion dv8000, bought couple of years ago.
I have been using it as a desktop with a extended display (22" CRT monitor).
Things were working quite fine with the two displays. Lately I had disconnected the second monitor to use the laptop elsewhere.

Now when I have fixed them again, the second display refuses to work. My laptop is not sending any signal to the CRT.
I have tried the following things
    1. Used a different cable
    2. Connected two different monitors
    3. Updated the ATI graphics driver (as advised by HP customer care)
    None work.

BUT my notebook does detect that something is connected, since it lets my choose from the 3 toggle options upon (fn + F4)

I connected the CRT with a DELL laptop and both displays worked seamlessly.

I wonder if this is a OS problem since even the BIOS screen doesnt display in the CRT (EARLIER it did).

Is any one out there also facing the same problem???
