    Hi all,

i just bought a brand new 17" HP Pavillion dv8373ea (european version) and i was very excited with it, until i pressed power and saw the screen quality, i am having huge backlight issues the bottom is extremly bright and the top corners are a bit dark, the viewing angle is not very good, its ok but if you move your head just a little you can see allot of difference in brightness and quality.

This model comes with a Go 7600 and i have tried to change the color profile, i now get good quality colors bright and well defined the text is also of good quality, but the view angle is very small, this is a great machine but i am wondering if the toshiba p100 has a better screen should i exchange it?

Also the only good resolution is the 1440*900 other resolutions are blurry, not well defined this is my first wide screen is this expected?

The view angle issue i am having can be illustrated by surfing the web, wend i surf if i visit a page that has a background image or color that page looks like ti has a gradient even wend it does not, if i move my head a bit up and down i can see that it is all the same color

So does anyone know what the Toshiba P100 comes equiped with?
Is this normal in LPL screens?
