    DV9000 light come on and turn laptop turns off?

    So press power button, blue light come on for 1/2 sec, fan and hd spin etc and then the laptop turns off, ay ideas?

    broken laptop. LOL Could be a number of things but what model DV9000 is it? Is this on battery power or plugged in? If it is plugged in does the power port light up to show that it is getting power. If it does light then try taking out the batter and unplugging the laptop then press and hold the power button for 15 sec. Then plug it back in and then try powering it up again without the battery.

    It's most likely suffering from the nVidia chip failure. Take the mobo out and either bake it (not kidding, just tell me if you need details), or heat the nvidia GPU with a hot air gun. It'll work again, just don't ask for how long. Doing the copper shim mod to the GPU before you put it back together will decrease the odds of it breaking again.
