    Is it 4 or 6 pins?

    Look at it and count the number of pins.

    Most likely it will be 4-pin.

    I don't have one to look at. But a Google search reveals that it is 4. It seems like only Apple uses 6 pin ports on laptops.

    It is 4 pin, most laptops i have seen use 4 pin. If i remember correctly, don't the other 2 pins provide power to the drive? if so it would make sense that they are 4 as not to draw power from the laptop.
