Does anyone happen to know if the 7600go in the DV9000t is a MXM style video card?

No, I don't think it is. It isn't listed in the table linked below:

Sad that it isnt. Had hopped maybe it was so I could at some point later upgrade it to a higher end card.

Most notebooks can't have there graphics cards changed. MXM and AXIOM used to provide some sort of route for change, but even they have certain criteria that cards have to meet, such as types, thermla output etc. These things are difficult for the majority of manufacturers to stick with. As a result, they end up developing their own cards and connectors. Some notebooks, however, have upgrade paths. Such as some Dells, where a number of graphic options are offered, so when somebody wants to upgrade they an, but they wil have to purchase a card, that is from the same model of notebook.
