When i got my notebook it came with vista ult. 64 bit and biod version f.16
I reflashed it to version f.15 and installed vista ult. 32 bit.
I was told by hp that the f.16 bios is for vista 64 bit support.
Somehow I dont belive them anymore and I dont have a backup of the bios. Does anyone know what the best version of the bios is to have on this notebook? And where can i download f.16?
thanks

I'm still on f.15. I don't see any updates on their site.

Most times, Notebooks are released with a bios build that hasnt been uploaded on to the HP site, an interim build if you will.
My dv9000t came with XP MCE and bios f.09. Since then I installed Vista and upgraded to f.14, then f.15 bios. I'm pretty sure the newer bios removes support for Quickplay Direct. I have now gone down to f.06 and am running XP MCE again. I would say, If it works then leave it be. -
Mine came with Vista 32bit and F.16.... so I don't know why they would have told you it was for 64bit support only.

can you post the f16 bios for me please.

I don't have a file for it, it came already installed on my laptop. Not sure how I would create a file out of it for you.

you can install f15 from hp.com and it will back it up for you, then just either reinstall the backup f16 or cancel the operation after it backs up.

If I have time I'll try to do that for you tonight but I'm also receiving my second hard drive today and installing that will probably take priority
