I lost my Vista disk so I installed XP again.
Everything was working fine until I installed a few programs and my brightness keys stopped working (fn-f7/f8). Within about 20 seconds after boot, I can, but it just quits working afterward. All of my other fn commands work though.

I tried going through and shutting down processes that may be the culprit, but I didn't find anything that worked.

    Any ideas?

Re-install the quick launch button drivers. These drivers control the FN keys aswell

That must have been the problem. Thanks!

What's the benefit of having the driver though? Without it I can still do everything I have been.
