    Well I haven't seen any good reviews on the best of this series so here is a starter, im at work now so ill post full when i get home:

    SPECX:
    HP Pavilion dv9000z CTO NB

    * Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate <--- Vista still crap, replaced with XP Pro

    * AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-50(1.6GHz/512KB) <-- could not afford the upgraded TL-64 so I decided to wait, but it works fine for the moment (when i was looking at the insides i replaced the crappy NON-EXISTANT thermal paste (theres literally nothing their to conduct heat from the CPU to the HS-Fan Assembly) for the CPU and the NB and the GPU)

    * 17.0" WSXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1680x1050) <--- Love it ONE PROBLEM, and I have seen this everywhere, it comes default 58hz and 59hz and you have to either send it back for a replacement (that I have read rarely happens correctly) or add it as a custom profile in the NVIDIA Control Panel for every resolution.... also very crappy to have to do

    * 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600 <--- Love it BF2142+Expansion 40FPS (HOT!!!!!! 74C)

    * HP Imprint Finish + Microphone + Webcam <--- Webcam worked fine in Vista however XP Pro it wont work at all keeps saying in all programs that another app is using it

    * 1024MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) <--- Upgraded from newegg to 2x1GB DDR2-667 due to HP over priced upgrade ram during order

    * 80GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive <---- Also upgraded from newegg due to HP over pricing, now its 2x 100GB 7200RPM SATA

    * FREE Upgrade - LightScribe DVD+/-RW w/Double Layer <--- Kicks ass but not much use for LightScribe

    * 802.11a/b/g WLAN <--- the part that really makes me angry, 7 days after i orderd and my Laptop was already shipped to me they start making it standard with Bluetooth and i cannot find the module with WiFi + Bluetooth anywhere

    * No TV Tuner w/remote control <-- no comment

    * High Capacity 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery <--- of course why not 2 hours of BF2142 works for me

    * Microsoft(R) Works 8.0 <--- removed ASAP

    * HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope <--- w00t a wipe to wipe off my imprint finish from my oily hands (actually is very useful)

    Like I said above, when I get home tonight i will write a full nice review with pictures and all.

    (for the thermal paste Arctic Silver Thermal 5 FTW!!!) Total cost after TAX to CA and S&H, $1505.48 $105 over my finance approval limit ROFL.
