    Looking to upgrade to this
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231154

Everywhere I've looked says that the max memory for each slot is 1gb for a total of 2gb. I know that this isn't always true, has anyone had any success with more than 2gb in dv9207? I understand that 32bit vista will only recognize 3gb.

    thanks
    bill

You can install up to 4GB.
However, please make sure your BIOS version is F25 or higher.
HP fixed the BIOS a year ago, see release note of F25 below

Enhancements: Modifies thermal control method to improve system stability.
Fixes issue where a "blue screen" error is generated if the notebook has two 2-GB memory modules installed.

My current BIOS is F2B and it run smoothly with 4GB of memory.
