never used a tv tuner with a laptop so I can't help there. As for the fingerprint reader, a couple people have them at work and they love it. You can store passwords for pretty much any website, in addition to practically any application in windows such as log-in, outlook etc. Definitely worth the money.

If you have Vista Premium/Ultimate I believe you can record with Media Center straight from your tuner, but I'm not completely sure. And for the PS3, it should be easy if there is some sort of input for the PS3 on the card. (can't really tell)

It will have maybe AV in so if you have a Ps3 connector with AV out using RCA plugs then it should work. I recorded my PS2 gameplay that way with a tv tuner, also used to play on my PC monitor.

could be, mine wasnt a very good experience though, not to mention the monitor was only an old CRT one

Thanks for the input so far..anyone else with something to say is welcomed

Just purchased my dv9500t yesterday.
I too added the TV Tuner card. Took me 4 phone calls however to get some questions answered about it. I want to use this laptop in the kitchen primarily. I asked a simple question: How does the TV Tuner card hook up to the coaxial cable TV jack?
I got stupid answers such as (you have to use an antenna, you must purchased some 3rd party adapter, you must first hook it up to a real TV etc etc etc.....). On the 4th call I finally got the answer I was looking for (and someone who spoke good English)
Apparently there is an adapter (included) that has a coaxial jack on it which plugs into the TV Tuner card. Easy direct connection. Vista and Media Player do the rest. Sounds easy enough. Should have mine in a week.....
