    Hey all.

I have been lurking around lately and have a few questions on the DV9500.

    1) I read the HP Wireless assistant can individually turn off bluetooth however I Cannot find the setting or option to do this. I have disabled it in network connections but it still shows up in my task bar when I turn my pc on. Can anyone advise me how to turn this off so it doesnt start up at all.

    2) I was under the impression this laptop has a HD DVD player however I seriously doubt it. Can anyone advise whether the MAT****A DVD-RAM UJ-851S Drive is HD-DVD Playable

    3) What actual product is able to plug into expansion slot 3?

    4) I installed the latest NVIDIA Drivers up to the 164 version I believe (the latest one anyway) and my rating score didnt go up from 4.7 to 5.1 as some people indicated

    5) Does the Card reader read a MS PRO DUO adaptor pictured here http://www.ixbt.com/short/2k4-01/mspro_2gb_sandisk.jpg

    6) Why is the right shift key so small

    7) Does anyone get hand cramps from having the pointer so far to the left when you use the laptop on a bed

    8) I have found no way to speed up the mouse movement past the maximum allowable and even with the precision thing unticked its still too slow

    9) Did anyone notice the factory install of the mediaring program never uninstalled as it errored. This is something HP must have overlooked.

Anyway.. Great laptop, great screen, quiet bit heavy but I love the screen.

    i have the dv9000t

    1) the wireless and bluetooth have an icon in the taskbar next to the clock, if you dont have it then maybe you need to download the wireless assistant from HP. all you do is double click on the icon and go to properties and tick the independant controls for wireless devices. that gives you the ability to turn bluetooth on and off without doing it to wireless too.

    2) the HD-DVD player is the TS-L802A which is what my one has. yours is the standard DVD writer. if you wanted a HD-DVD player then maybe you should take this back and tell them they put the wrong drive in, depending on where you bought it

    3) that slot is for proprietary HP devices, namely the docking station.

    4) vista WEI is not an accurate measurement of graphics performance or any performance really so ignore it unless it gives you an extremely low score.

    5) cant see the pic but if u mean the adapter that makes the small ones into bigger memory sticks then yes it can read them and u need that to read memory stick duos

    6) to make way for all the other keys, but yeah everyone complains about that

    7) yes it is annoying but you do get used to it eventually, ive had my laptop for about 10 months

    8) maybe u need to upgrade the software?

    9) dunno about the last one but it aint very heavy compared to other 15 and 17" laptops
