Does anyone know whether or not the 9500 coexists well with two DVD units being occasionally swapped?

Mine is equipped with the HD DVDRW, but it only records DVD's at 4x, which is awefully slow by today's standards.

I want to know if I buy the regular DVDRW with lightscribe if I can swap between the units at will. Physically I know it is rather simple, just remove the retainer screw and slide the unit out.

I guess I am asking whether someone has done it without any issues.
