I was wondering what version of nvidia drivers everyone is running. My dv9500t with the 8600M GS card resets the refresh rate from 75 to 60 on my external LCD monitor whenever recovering from sleep/hibernation or even when the monitor goes into powersave mode.

I am currently running the 7.15.11.145 drivers. Should I switch to the forceware drivers from laptopvideo2go? If so, which are the most stable and best performing?

I am currently using 32 bit vista ultimate. Are the 163.44 better than the 163.71? Have you been running them long? Are they stable?

Even starting up the computer with the power button out of hibernation. What is reforce?

The dell 1704fpv is clearer at 75 htz vs. 60 htz. Laptop displays don't typically support higher refresh rates but this lcd does.

yes, the 163.44 drivers are better than the 163.71 (because of a weird numbering system)
they are very stable on my dv9500t
ive been running them for about a month (my lappys only 1 month old)

How did the 163.44 go? Did it fix your problem?

Well 163.44 didn't make a difference. When I set the refresh rate at 75 htz, it will default back to 60 htz if I unplug the monitor. Anyone else using external monitor that can confirm this behavior.

Dell 1704fpv. It reverts when you unplug and replug the monitor, but it also does it if the screen shuts off for power save or at boot up.

VGA...I don't know enough about dvi but wouldn't think that would make a difference as to how the software deals with saving the refresh rate.
