    Hello,
I just got my DV9700t mailed to my door. I am a bit confused on the model numbering: On the laptop, at the top right side above the screen, it says DV9000. When I boot Windows, it says DV9700. The laptop is supposed to be DV9700T.
So is the wrong model is sent to me or, they all are like that?

CPU and Graphic card are what they are supposed to be: T9300 and GeForce 8600M.

    Thanks.

The top right is just the series, as there are so many configurations (dv9500,dv9600, and others for different countries), but they use the same casing. You have the right computer, but just to double check flip it over and on the bottom it will have the exact model number. My old Compaq showed v3000 on the top right, but on the bottom the actual model was v3018cl.
