For some reason, my notebook won't stay in standby. I've disabled WOL from the devices manager, done a spyware/virus scan, and disabled most of my startup items via msconfig but it still doesn't work :-/. In addition, I have all the latest windows updates available. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what it really is. I mean is it turn on automatically or doesn't get into standby mode at all; however, what you should do is updating or reinstalling a chipset driver again.

I have no clue since you haven't told what your OS is.. So get into hp.com, get a driver for your OS, and install it. It might help.

    Good luck
