Hello. I have problem with dv9700t and bios F.59A. After upgrade bios from F.58 to F.59A and reboot, notebook won't start - there is only beep: first beep is long and other two are short. For me this sound show that is problem with graphic card. But from years notebook work fine and i don't use it to play games (only for office work).

So what can i do to run again my notebook?

It could also be that the graphics card is fried... it happened to me and many other ppl with these laptops.

What graphics do you have, nVidia or intel?
Try to go into the BIOS recovery thing first (I dont know how to do that)

I have nvidia graphic card. Before upgrade bios, computer work fine. I have try recovery bios with "crisis disk recovery" from guide like this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=233405&page=41 but with no success. I have hope because i try it with usb pendrive, and today i have usb floppy disk so i will try it again.

edit: I try update bios from usb floppy disk and with no success.

    Any suggestion?

Yes. I read both guide. I use USB floppy disk and USB stick to create and load crisis recovery disk. In both situation computer see this devices, read it, but nothing else happen, even 30 minutes later. Only fan speed up.

I use all version of bios from HP site design for my model. It's read floppy and after 10 second stop and fan go faster - that's all. No beeps.

On my crisis disk i have:
    BIOS.WPH (size: 1098882)
    minidos.sys (size: 2800)
    PLASH16.exe (size: 115219)

i use different version of plash program, crisis disk and bios (bios was dedicated to my model and download from hp site).

And still not work. I think the problem is in combination WinLogo+B. With winlogo+b or without, when i only put usb floppy or usb stick and power up i have same effect as above (read floppy disk and after that, fan go faster; the same situation with usb stick).

    Maybe my model have other combination. I try FN+B, FB+ESC, WinLogo+B, WinLogo+ESC

Win + B is working for my case.

Try hard reset before doing it again, remove battery and power, press power button for a 2-5 seconds.

If there is no load beeps, you must be doing something wrong or there is a problem with your speakers.

The emergency flashing take some times, I forgot maybe 2-3 minutes, if you did something with the speaker, there is a change you will not hear the sound, just wait and wait until the computer shutdown itself.
