I have been having issues with my dvd drive in my DV6119us with XP.
The drive will often not eject unless I tap it while pushing the button. It seems to have no power and will not respond to the eject command in windows. If I push down near the lower right corner of the laptop, the drive will "wake up" and occasionally begin to read and auto play the cd inside.(Like if I rest my wrist on it or intentionally push down) It has occasionally ejected on it's own when doing this. Also when moving the laptop around, or opening and closing the lid, when it is on, it will exhibit these same behaviors. I have reseated the drive and it seemed to improve for a few hours, but it is back to where it was.
Is this a possible motherboard issue? Also one thing that may be linked would be that my built-in mic, and the front inputs stopped working early in it's life. I did not send it in for warranty at the time because I did not want to receive it back with more problems than it already had. I'm hoping this is just a drive issue, but I am unsure. Any tips on fixing this would be great. This computer is out of warranty, aside from the extended motherboard warranty for faulty motherboards that cause the wireless not to work, among other things.(As far a I understand)

    Sorry for the long post.
