    DVD rom not recognizing blank DVD/CD's

    hello,
    the dvd rom is not recognizing blank DVD's and CD's!! b ut it reads them jus fine without any problem!!!
    firstly it used to recognize in vista Sp1 64 bit,.. then i changed my OS to Windows 7.. i didn't recognized the blank media...
    now i used the recovery disc's to go back to previous state and the DVD rom is still not picking them up.. the rom makes some noise when i insert the blank disc's for like 20-30 seconds after that nothing comes!!

    I had the same problem, although I am still using Windows XP, but all I did to fix this issue was D/L and install Nero. After that, I've had no problems whatsoever.
