    Well, HP Tech support can't answer this simple question...maybe you can.

    Does the DVD Drive in the HP L2000 (Compaq V2000) support DVD+R 8x media?

    No one seems to know, and I'm not about to torque the drive and break it finding out (already went through that with 4x)

    Drive is HL-DT-ST CGA-4080N (I might have the cga part mixed up the 4080N is correct.
