    Hi,

I'm using a dv8233cl with the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N dvd ram drive. I had to do a non destructive restore a few months ago. Noticed yesterday that its now listed as a cd-rom when I look at the driver. Is that normal?
It seems like Nero's recognizing it only as a cd burner.

    Thanks

Do us a favor and provide a bit more information.

Can you go to Start --> Programs --> Nero --> Tools --> Nero InfoTool wait for it to finish, then click the "Drive" tab and tell us what "Firmware Version" it says and what does it say as "Type". Also, what operating system are you using? And, what driver version do you have for the drive? Have you tried to burn anything recently?

Basically, the more information the better, but I'm sure someone smarter than me will be able to help you out.

    Peace.

thats usual dont worry too much about it, which version of nero do you have? make sure you have a version that recognizes your dvdram drive, also you might have to reinstall drivers etc.
