Hopefully this should be an interesting week as people pick up the retail Llano laptop from Best Buy.

I just ask for Ubuntu support out of the box in 6 months time.

It'll be there.
dv6z can't even boot bleeding-edge Linux and I can only assume that the dv6t/dv7t are Intel-only with Radeon detected for moment. -
I cannot get the Backtrack Live CD to run under the dv6. It boots and sort of hangs at the radeon drivers (I think ay be important due to how "special" this laptop is) I get to the backtrack logo and press f11 and see a never ending loop of

Hey guys. Update time.
1. I was wondering if you guys would be willing to boot into Linux after the BIOS update in Fixed Mode and test whether xserver-xorg-video-ati (open source Radeon driver) works without hacks.
2. I'd also like a re-generation of SSDT/DSDT files to reflect the post-update ACPI.
3. Finally, I'd like to know if fglrx (proprietary Catalyst 11.7) will install and work properly.
Steps 1, 2, and 3 apply to the dv6t/dv7t 61xx while the dv6z 61xx requires only Step 2 and 3. -
I tried booting a live cd of Backtrack and it did not work - if that means anything.
Data collection necessary to understand and fix dynamic graphics (61xx series)
