I bought a western digital external and copied about 50 gigs of music and video files. I then safely removed the hard drive, click on shut down, and went to eat dinner. I came back tried to turn on the computer, and it won't start. All the lights come on, the fan comes on, and the hard drive light blinks and few times then nothing. The display does not light up. Did copying the 50 gigs fry my laptop HD? I've never had this problem before. Any insight or advice would be great. Oh yeah and to top it off my 1 year warranty expired last month :(

You probably have a Hardware error. Maybe caused some how for your external drive. It happenned to me once, my laptop did the same as it's doing to you. All you need to do is to clear all current from your laptop:
    1. Take out the battery
    2. Make sure AC power is not connected
    3. Press for 10 Second the power button.
    4. Put back the battery
    5.Connect it to AC
    6. Turn it on as normal.

If it doesn't work let us know. There are other things that could be done. Success!!!
