sorry if this is a redundant thread but i couldn't seem to figure out my problem searching the forums.

for a dv6000t: i burned my recovery discs and now want that partition gone and that disk space in my C drive. i thought i had it figured out after searching the forum on this topic but now i'm stuck with about 12 gigs of unallocated space and don't know what to do with it. how do i merge it into C drive? the D drive is gone but the space is still sitting there unallocated. thanks

You can use gparted to merge the partitions. You could also created an extended partition to throw files on you don't want to lose. That way if you wipe the Windows partition, the extended will remain unchanged.

i thought i read mixed reviews about Partition Magic but i suppose i should give it a shot. is there a free version? i only need to perform this ONE function.

also, i searched google for gparted and found a free download but it didn't work. am i supposed to be getting it for free?

Gparted is Open source, so it is a free download.
