I have seen hundreds of these topics posted, but none awnser my question, so here it goes. If I were to delete the partition that is eating 1/4th my hard drive, I read somewhere that I would lose the drivers/ software that I got on my computer if I try to format the drive, I don't really care about the software as much as the drivers. I have all the drivers and programs backed up already, so if I lose them it will not be that bad I just want to know. Thanks for any help.

As long as you have burnt the recovery disc you can delete any partition you want and still be able to get back to factory state. I would recommend backing up the C:/SWSetup folder since it contains all the necesary drivers & software. So, yes it is safe to delete the recovery partition after you have burnt the recovery discs.
