    Hey everyone,

Can I use my old Dell XPS m1530's ac adapter with my Envy 14 safely?

The stats of the two chargers are...

    HP charger-
    Input- 100-240v~1.5A, 50-60Hz
    Output- 19V = 4.74A, 90W max

    Dell charger-
    Input- 100-240v~1.5A, 50-60Hz
    Output- 19.5V 4.62A

All of this is a different language to me so I have no idea if its safe of not. Anyone out there good with this kind of stuff? Thanks!

I'm unsure. the output being a bit different (less amps, more volts) may mess things up.

both are approximately 90 watts. HP is 90.06 watts. Dell is 90.09 watts

Won't work. The dell plug middle pin is a data wire where the HP has voltage.
