Is now a good time to buy a new desktop PC from HP? As far technology and hardware I now that it moves a fast pace and everything but as far as processors and graphics is everything out now pretty much gonna be eclipsed in the next few weeks or are we looking more at 2011 before the next "big" thing comes out?

    Hey there Hawky!

Your post above is the reason why we gadget geeks dislike technology. As soon as you buy something, a newer version is released.

With any current selling desktop that is moderately configured, you should see years of usability.

In terms of future proofing and the most updated hardware, you would probably want to wait until January/February for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Keep in mind that desktops are very easy to upgrade. Most of the components are interchangeable. HP offers mainstream computer hardware that should be more than sufficient.

    I hope that helps.
