    Hey guys,

    I am torn between the Envy 15 and 14. I can get a 15 cheaper right now because it's obviously been out, but it won't cost me much more to get the 14, which is a little more desirable (the switchable graphics and the size/integrated DVD drive are awesome). I was wondering what the graphics chip differences are between the 2? If the 5830 in the 15 is more powerful it may sway my decision (I would get an i5 in either configuration). They both sound like powerhouses, but I am curious as to which graphics card might be the beefier of the 2. Thanks guy!

    The 5830 is a bit more powerful, but the Envy 15 comes with a 1920x1080 option for the screen. The 5650 is running a 1600x900 screen. All things considered, the 5830@1920x1080 should be roughly comparable if just a little faster than the 5650@1600x900. Definitely not any kind of earth-shaking difference.

    If I were buying a new Envy now, I'd get the 14. I love my 15, but I bought it before the 14s were even rumors ;)

    the Envy 15.
    -> Only i7 (no switchable graphics).
    -> 6 cells battery.
    -> no CD drive bay.

    It's a weird combination tbh. Looks like a desktop replacement, but then I'd rather get the 17'' version.
