Almost the same as this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=108655

except I want to know the difference between the four HP Pavillion DV6140ca, DV6150ca and the ones Best Buy has DV6258SE and DV6235SE.

What is the significance between the 1 and the 2 as in DV6 100 and DV6 200?

As mentioned, the 6100 series was xp and the 6200 is vista. Other difference between the 6258 and the 6233 is the cpu speed - no major performance difference and the memory - which is double on the 6258 ie 2GB. They all feature the GeForce Go 6150 which is not a star with vista graphics but gets the job done for standard use. I got the 6233 on presidents day sale for 699$ in best buy instead of 899$ and installed my own 2GB from another vendor for 150$. It comes with 2x512mb so had to spend more. The SE are usually in a nicer finish (6233 is ceramic-silver) but that depends on personal taste.
