I checked out Wikipedia and it says that the dv9700t just came out this January '08. There's no mention of the dv9800 series. So when did the dv9800 come out and what exactly is it?

I'm also aware that hp is coming out with a the dv7t series. So would the dv7t be replacing the dv9700t/dv9800 even though the dv9700t just came out 6 months ago?

dv9700t and dv9800t are the same, they just use 98xx for their preconfigs sold outside of the US mainly. and yes the dv7t is the replacement.

i'm pretty much ready to bite on the dell studio 17 or the hp dv9838, BUT i'm really curious as to what the dv7t is offering and for how much? UGH!!

i'm most likely gonna need the laptop mid august so if im ordering it online i gotta do it by mid july. any chance dv7t would be revealed by then?
