    The nc8230 has a touchstick, the nx8220 doesn't.
    The nc8230 has a serial port, the nx8220 doesn't.
    The nc8230 has a 3 year warranty, the nx8220 has a 1 year warranty.

Is that it? Is the case itself, apart from the above changes, exactly the same? I talked to a HP employee (from another department) who thought there might be a difference in the notebook internal chassis. The nc8230 being more durable.

I just don't find any mention of it though.

I have read on another forum that the nc line of notebooks use better materials and are of better build quality.

Does HP have a product page for the nx8220? I've searched through their business site, but I'm unable to come up with anything more than support and manual pages. I thought there would be something much like the nc8230's product page.

    Thanks for the help!

I heard of only those 3 differences. Apparently build is the same.

Could someone confirm that the NX and the NC are both made of magnesium alloy?
