Basically, this "Beats audio" laptop behaves like a cheap walkman (not even an mp3 player) when I'm watching movies and the base gets "too loud". The effect isn't any better when I try listening to it using headphones. Am I doing something wrong? The drivers are "up to date". Is there something else I need to download/install?

What are you listening to the audio on? What is the source material? And what programs are you using?

If you aren't listening through headphones then yeah the audio is just like every other really thin laptop that has everything crammed into it so it stays small. I have a fifty dollar set of panasonic 2.1 speakers and audio sounds great from them. No sub woofer equals no bass. Thats just how it is.
