    Disassemble HDX18t to Upgrade CPU

    Have anyone done this? I tried today... removed all the screws at the bottom of the notebook, but I think one should remove the keybaord and then only will the backend come off, not sure... I mean surely there must be a guide, people upgrade notebook cpu's all the time dont they...

    There is a great PDF download on the HP site availible for a complete tear down of these laptops. Just look up the Maintenence and Service Guide (3.22MB). I printed mine out so it's a little easier to read. May need to download Adobe Reader 9 to read the PDF. Hope this helps.
