    Display brightness hot keys not working (F2 & F3)...

    Not sure how or why it happens, but it happened out of nowhere. When I first turn the computer on they work fine but after the comp has been on for some time they just stop working. Never did this when it was new (got it in beginning of February). It's a dv6-6c00 with an i7 quad core. Don't know where to start so any help would be great.

    Do other shortcuts work, like play, rewind etc?

    Yes, volume control, display output, etc. all work.
