I just ordered new HP notebook and it would have Quickplay (version 3.6) on it. I have lot of DivX videos that I would like to play thru Quickplay as it can be controlled thru remote. Does QP support DivX or is there any other way to make it do it??

OR is there any way I could use remote to control other DivX video players??

    Thanks for the help guys!!!

i don't think quickplay will play divx, but the remote also controls windows media center, so you can always get plugins for that
also, you could try another divx player but the remote control is spotty at best on other applications

I just tested it with different movies, Quickplay can play divx files no problems. Make sure you download and install the K-Lite Mega Codec pack first though. This should let all programs understand most movie formats.

If not theres always other programs that work with the mini remote like windows media player or winamp (enable global hotkeys and remote will work)

VLC Media Player or Media player classic with the K-Lite pack work perfectly!
