I'm currently looking for a new laptop and I found a dm3t for under $1,000 with
-Intel ULV SP9300 w/ nvidia 105m
-4gb DDR3 RAM
-7 Home premium
What I wonder is if the battery life (claimed 9-10hours) would be the actual time even with the SP9300. Also I'm not sure whether the 500gb at 7200rpm would be better/worse for the overall performance and battery life compared to the 320gb at 7200rpm. Just throwing this out there, if there is a better laptop with similar specs please let me know, but this seems to be one of few ultra portables with offering a 1066 FSB processor under $1000.

well i would say that the SP9300 uses more watts so it wont get the same battery life.... but should still be good. there are acouple people with SP9300s in the Dm3 lounge...
$1000 is not a bad price.... a lot of people like the DM3Z at its low price point and basic hardware, I bought a dm3t SU7300 w/ Nvidia 105 to keep good battery life.... I too wondered about the SP9300 battery life.
hopefully someone will do some good reviews on the DM3T and not publish DM3 reviews that focus only on the DM3z or the low end hardware.
