Hello,
My DV6565ca had a problem not recognisinng USB devices and a faulty keyboard.
Just before its one year warranty was up i sent it in for repair.
HP replaced the motherboard and keybaord.
That was about 4 months ago.
The "p" key has gone bad and the whole right side of the keyboard kind of "clicks" went i press any of the keys.
Am i covered under any form of warranty?? I understand the 12 month warranty has run out, but would the repair of carried a warranty as the keyboard was one of the items replaced.
I belive this laptop is also under the "extended warranty", but am i right in thinking the keyboard does not come under that warranty???
Thanks,
Mike

yes there is a repair warranty but unfortunately its only 90 days. Also I don't think the dv6500s are covered under the service enhancement but I forget the website. Its here on the forms somewhere.

Oh, looks like i just missed it.
In that case, where is the best place to buy a keyboard???
I live in Ontario, Canada.

if you just missed it by a few days, up to a couple of weeks, they still may honor it. i'd call and argue your case thoroughly.

If what Mr. TSD suggests should fail, hop on ebay. They usually offer decent pricing on repair parts.
Do HP repairs carry warranty???
