I am looking into getting the dv5t. It comes with either
    - Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator X4500
    - 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS
    - 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS

I don't play any games. But sometimes do a little bit of video editing with Adobe Premiere. Would it make a big difference with one of the NVIDIA cards?

The rest of the time I do mostly webdesignw tih dreamweaver and photoshop. I do copy some DVDs and watch video streaming over the web. Would a graphic card help with any of these?

    Thanks

If you dont do any heavy gaming, the 9200GS would get the job done. It is better than an integrated card because it takes a load off of your memory. It will make every graphics intensive application a bit smoother

For your needs, the 9200M GS will be just fine.

Don't buy one with the integrated card: the system will be too slow, even for everyday tasks.
Either upgraded card would be fine.

    about Adobe photoshop,
this program is major concerned in how fast your CPU, GPU does affect a bit, not as much as CPU.

9200M GS should be a very good choice for you.

As a fellow web designer/ video editor I use a lot of the Adobe CS3 programs and I would agree with everyone else. Adding a discrete graphics card will reduce strain on your memory which is already under intense pressure with Vista. As the others suggested, the 9200m GS will be sufficient. However, if you want to future proof your system then grab the 9600m GT for the buck more.

Also, is it just me or does CS3 really seems to load slowly?

Honestly, if you don't need extra bells and whistles, PS7 is the leanest,
meanest version out there. It has limited 16-bit functionality, but the
program is very fast and efficient.

I also have CS3 and it is a true resource pig. And, yes, it does load
    slowly.

The slower 5400 rpm drives make large apps like PS CS3 load a bit slower.

I'm sorry about my typing and English, but that sentence is really screwed up lol. Let me retype it so I feel better inside lol.
