I'm eying this good deal on ebay for an HP notebook. Do warranties transfer from the original purchaser to the person who buys it from the original purchaser?
-
depends on the company. I know Sony and AW do not while Dell does.
-
I would just call HP and ask them a question like whether or not the warranty will transfer to a new owner if you decided to sell your new HP laptop you just bought.
-
Don't think it does.
If HP does say it does transfer... get it in WRITING, Have the HP rep give you the webpage that states this in writing, to confirm anything said verbally.
PS: They may have differant polices on the HOME, vs BUSINESS line. -
I know this is an old thread but I searched for the same question... I found this:
Quote:
"b) Transfer. Warranties are transferable to another party for the remainder of the warranty period subject to HP license transfer policies and any assignment restrictions."
Look under article 6, section b.

Looks like you can transfer!
Do warranties transfer to other users?
